Ornithological CongressThe annual Ornithological Congress is an opportunity for conservation minded individuals to come together to discuss issues of import for bird conservation, share information about research projects, and build partnerships to better address threats to the resource. The Congress will always be held in a geographically central location in Michigan to allow all interested citizens the chance to attend, and the first Congress was held at the University of Michigan's Biological Station in Pellston and the second will be held at North Central Michigan College. The Congress is open to all - attendance at the first Congress included professional wildlife biologists, students, hunters, and birders - and the dress code is casual; our primary goal is providing a forum for conservation connections to be made and information to be shared. 2010: 4th Annual MiBCI Ornithological Congress (7-10 Apr., Petoskey, MI) |
